How WeCards trading works
and what cards are worth
Everything you need to trade smarter: WeWard's trading rules, the real odds behind each rarity, fair trade values, and how to stay safe.
๐ Trading basics in the WeWard app
- Open your WeCards Collection and go to the Exchange tab.
- Tap + Propose an exchange and pick a compatible profile or a friend.
- Choose the cards you want, then the cards you'll give (with quantities), and confirm.
- The other person accepts or declines. Accepted trades complete automatically; declined cards go back to your collection.
๐ก Pro tip: since you only get 3 trades a day, bundle cards together. Swapping 4 cards in one trade uses just 1 of your 3 daily trades. If your WeWard account is set to private, you won't show up in compatible profiles.
โญ Rarity & the real odds
Every chapter has 9 cards in four rarities. WeWard publishes the pack odds for each rarity:
| Pack | Common #1โ3 | Rare #4โ6 | Super rare #7โ8 | Legendary #9 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pack 1 | 59.8% | 30% | 8.4% | 1.8% |
| Pack 2 | 57.25% | 30% | 10.5% | 2.25% |
| Pack 3 | 53% | 30% | 14% | 3% |
| Pack 4 | 44.5% | 30% | 21% | 4.5% |
Those odds are for the whole rarity. Since there are 3 Commons, 3 Rares and 2 Super rares per chapter, the chance of a specific card is lower. From Pack 1, for example:
Odds from WeWard's FAQ; WeWard notes they can vary with active chapters and events.
โ๏ธ What's a fair trade?
There's no official price list, and you can trade however you both agree. But the odds give a solid starting point. Turning them into simple trade points:
So roughly: 1 Rare โ 2 Commons, 1 Super rare โ 2 Rares, and 1 Legendary โ 2โ3 Super rares โ 5 Rares โ 10 Commons. Then adjust for demand:
They can't be earned anymore, so the only supply left is what people already own.
Limited-time chapters (holidays, events, special editions) had a short window to collect, so fewer copies exist. An ephemeral vintage #9 can easily be worth 2โ3 regular #9s.
Everyone is chasing the new #9 at once. Demand cools as more copies drop, so a brand-new #9 might fetch a bit more early on.
If a card finishes someone's chapter (and unlocks the completion reward), they'll often give extra. Don't be afraid to ask.
Common questions, answered with the odds
- "Is 50 Commons for 1 Rare fair?" Not by the odds: a specific Rare is only about 2ร harder to get than a specific Common. 50 would be a huge overpay. 2โ3 is closer.
- "Is a brand-new #9 worth a few older #9s?" Sometimes, while it's hot. But an older #9 from a vintage chapter can't be earned anymore, so it's often worth more in the long run.
- "Should an ephemeral #9 cost more than 3 other #9s?" For ephemeral vintage #9s, 2โ3 regular #9s is a common ask. More than that only makes sense if the card is really in demand.

๐ Vintage & โณ ephemeral chapters
Vintage: after a while, chapters become vintage. WeWard picks them once a month and warns ahead with gray badges and notifications. Vintage cards can no longer be found while walking, in regular packs, or through ads. The only way to get them is trading (or special events). If a chapter is about to go vintage, finish it first.
Ephemeral: limited-time chapters tied to events or seasons (like Halloween, Christmas or Valentine's Day). They're only collectable for a short time, so they tend to be scarce later. See which chapters are vintage and ephemeral on the chapters page.
๐ What to do with duplicates
Your best option: turn extras into cards you need. Mark them as Duplicates on SwapTrek so collectors can find you.
Send to a friend you follow. Gifts are one-way and can't be undone.
Where available: 5 copies of one card โ 2 random new cards, or 10 โ 5. You need to keep 1 copy (so 6 or 11 owned). You might even hit a Lucky Card for bonus Wards.
Heart the cards you want in WeWard, then tap the heart icon and "Share my wishlist" to send a link to friends.
๐ก Before bulk-swapping 5 copies of a vintage card for 2 random cards, check its trade value. A vintage card can often trade for more than 2 random cards are worth.
๐ก๏ธ Stay safe
- โ Use Trade, not Gift, with people you don't know. A trade needs both sides to accept.
- ๐ซ Never pay money or accept money for cards. It breaks WeWard's rules and can get accounts banned.
- ๐ Never share your WeWard login or codes, with anyone, for any reason.
- โ ๏ธ "Gift first and I'll send mine after" is the #1 scam. Use a bundle trade.
- โญ On SwapTrek, check a trader's rep and completed swaps before trading (coming with accounts).
โ FAQ
How many WeCards trades can I make per day?
WeWard allows up to 3 trades per day, and the counter resets at 2 a.m. UTC. Each trade can be a bundle of several cards, so one trade can swap many cards at once.
How many trade offers can I have open?
Up to 20 active offers in total, counting both the offers you sent and the ones you received. Accept or decline some to free up space.
Can I trade vintage WeCards?
Yes. Vintage chapters can no longer be earned by walking or in standard packs, but cards you already own stay tradeable. That is why trading is the main way to finish a vintage chapter.
What is a fair trade for a Legendary (#9) card?
Based on WeWard's published pack odds, a Legendary card is roughly 3 to 11 times harder to get than a specific Common card from the same chapter, depending on the pack. Many collectors trade a Legendary for about 2 to 3 Super Rares, 4 to 5 Rares, or around 8 to 10 Commons. Vintage and limited-time chapters usually need more.
Is gifting a card the same as trading?
No. A gift is one-way and cannot be undone. With a trade, both people must accept, so it is safer. Only gift to people you trust.
What can I do with duplicate WeCards?
You can trade them, gift them to friends, or (where the feature is available) swap 5 duplicates of a card for 2 random new cards, or 10 duplicates for 5 new cards.
Can I sell or buy WeCards for money?
No. WeWard's Terms of Use forbid exchanging WeCards for money, goods or anything else of value. Trades should always be card-for-card inside the WeWard app.
